Took J J (world famous jack russell terrior) to Santa Barbara with me today. He loves to ride in the car. (Left J J at sons apartment) who lives up there. We had lunch at the Santa Barbara Brewing Company. I ordered a different type of fries, which were wonderful!

Freshly cut and freshly fried russett potatoes sprinkled with dried garlic and dried rosmary and no salt or very little when removed from the fryer....verrry good.

An offshoot of something I first learned about at a very, very small restaurant on the shores of Lake Lacanau (in Medoc). The chef/owner prepared the fries per normal. Then, after dumping them out to drain, he tossed in chopped fresh garlic and chopped parsley. Like you say, verrry good.

You guys might like these gourmet potato chips I've seen around. They're garlic and rosemary flavored! You could probably find them at a gourmet grocery store.

I can buy rosemary flavoured and black pepper flavoured potato chips (thick) cooked in olive oil at my local grocery store. It's Loblaws upscale brand President's Choice, sometimes sold in the US at Wal-Mart under the brand Sam's (something or other). I'm not saying they'll have potato chips. I do know they have (or have had) the same Decadent Chocolate Chip cookies.

Or maybe it's like when wev sell cakes to China. We have to add more pink, make it sweeter, and less tasty :-)

So can I! :) There are lots of kinds of potato chips out there now. I like the herbed ones, and the salt & pepper ones, but plain or salt & vinegar are still my favorites, with jalapeno coming in second.

Ooooh, those PC Olive Oil chips are soooooo addictive. My favourite is the roasted garlic ... MMMM ...

One brand I've tried recently from the health food store (from the same people who make Terra Chips) is a yogurt and green onion flavour. Very tasty. Similar to sour cream and onion but a bit more tangy.
