May I put this threads to an end with the one and only way to prepare fried potatoes?

Snazzy Fried Potatoes

Peel and dice potatoes into cubes about a quarter of an inch square.
Rinse off all potato starch with running cold water.
Put potatoes in a pot and cover with boiling water and let stand for a few minutes....drain well.
Fry potatoes in a bit of hot oil until nicely browned On Sundays you can grate some onion and add to the potatoes along with any onion juice produced.
Salt & pepper to taste.

These potatoes are not heavy and not greasy, slightly crunchy and guaranteed to be the finest you have ever eaten.

Thinking about brunch menus...I love hash browns with cheese sauce...that should be easy enough. Shred the potatoes, add some onions (not too many) and stir all around in some good butter until lightly browned. Pile into a casserole dish and sprinkle all over with shredded cheddar cheese... bake at 350 until cheese is all melted.
