Subject: Fried potato gnoochi?

Hi everyone,
This morning I confronted some left-over potato and parmesan
gnoochi. Thought I try frying them in clarified butter along with
garlic, pancetta and some fresh mint (fried the leaves whole until
they became brittle, then used them as a garnish). Eaten with grated
parmesan, they were surprisingly good.
I don't think I'm the first to have thought of this, however.
So I wonder what, if anything, fried gnoochi are called? Just fried
potato dumplings ... or something else?

According to La Cucina, you hit the nail on the head the first time. This
is simply fried gnocchi.
