Alan asked for the variety name of a gold fleshed, red skinned potato I
mentioned in a post about a summer dinner. I was able to ask the farmer who
grows it on Saturday. She told me the name was Red Gold. I went to a few of
my favorite seed sites and couldn't find any listings for Red Gold. Perhaps
this post will catch the eye of someone who knows more about this variety. I
really like them, they have the texture somewhere in between a red skinned
boiling potato and a yellow fleshes one and do well baked or boiled.
regards,
trillium (baby white potatoes, yellow wax beans, and corn salad for lunch)
